Hollywood: The Saddest Place On Earth — The Story Behind the Photo Book
Teilen
Everyone has an idea of what Hollywood is supposed to look like. The glamour, the lights, the dream. I went looking for something else.
What I found was loneliness. And I couldn't stop photographing it.
Hollywood: The Saddest Place On Earth is a 60-page photography book that strips away the myth and shows what's actually there — the people sleeping on stars, the faded murals, the tourists searching for something that doesn't exist anymore. Maybe it never did.
I've walked those streets more times than I can count. Hollywood Boulevard at 2am is a completely different world than what you see in the movies. There's a rawness to it. A desperation. But also a strange beauty — the kind that only shows up when the performance stops and real life takes over.
That tension is what this book is about. The gap between the fantasy and the reality. Between what Hollywood promises and what it actually delivers to the people who end up there.
These aren't tourist photos. They're not meant to be pretty. They're meant to be honest.
If you've ever felt like an outsider in a place that was supposed to be magical — this book will feel familiar.
